Kids’ Riding Hats & Helmet Covers - Safe, Adjustable & Fun

Choosing the Right Childrens Riding Hat

There are a few things worth thinking about when choosing childrens riding hats, and getting the fit right matters just as much as the style.

Adjustable Hats That Grow With Your Child

Our Uvex adjustable riding hats use a simple adjustment system, so you get a snug, secure fit without needing to size up every time your child grows. This makes our adjustable horse riding hats a practical choice for families who ride regularly, and it's why they're one of the most popular styles among the children's riding hats in this collection.

From Toddlers to Confident Young Riders

Whether you're looking for a first riding hat for a toddler taking their earliest steps in the saddle, or a children's riding helmet for a more experienced young rider, our range covers every stage. Many parents start with a smaller, fully adjustable toddler riding hat and simply adjust the fit as their child grows, rather than buying a completely new helmet each time.

Fun and Practical Helmet Covers

As well as our range of children's riding helmets, this collection includes playful helmet covers designed to fit snugly over your child's existing hat. From unicorn and bunny designs to our Halloween helmet cover, these riding helmet covers are a simple way to add personality to riding kit while helping keep the hat underneath clean and protected. They make a lovely finishing touch, whether your child is heading to a lesson or a fancy dress ride.

Safety and Fit

A properly fitted children's equestrian helmet is one of the most important parts of your child's kit. Every hat in this collection is designed with young riders in mind, combining lightweight materials with secure, adjustable fastenings so it stays comfortably in place in and out of the saddle. Use the size filters on this page to find the right fit, checking head circumference rather than age alone, since children's head sizes can vary considerably at the same age.

Complete Your Riding Setup

Children's riding hats are just one part of a complete riding outfit. Pair yours with riding boots, gloves and saddle essentials to help your child feel safe and comfortable from head to toe.
